You Made Me Feel Like I Wasn't Good Enough

There will come a time in your life when you feel like you aren't good enough. As bad ass and independent as you are, someone, somewhere is waiting to steal your thunder. It will come from the left field when you least expect it, but it will be one of the worst feelings you've ever had.

I know I'm not perfect, but had you asked me if I thought I was good enough for someone, my answer would have been something like, "Of course I am, I'm f*!king amazing!"

Then one day, like a lightning strike to the heart, the person you are head over heels in love with manages to destroy that self confidence. You will start to question if something you did caused him to act that way. You'll wonder if maybe you actually deserve to be treated that way or spoken to like that. No matter how confident you may be, having someone you care about treat you like that, is going to hurt.

Trust me darling, it's him, not you.

When someone you care about hurts you, it is not your fault. You are good enough. The real problem is that they don't think they are good enough for you. They aren't happy with themselves, so they pick you apart instead.

It doesn't matter how pretty you are, how kind you are or how much of a kick-ass woman you can be, it will never satisfy someone who isn't happy with themselves. He is the worst kind of fraud, he will tell you that no one loves you like he does and make you believe it. He is a shapeshifter, manipulator.

He will cry crocodile tears, then wait by the river for the next woman to pull in, to drown in his kindness that was never kind.  He will pull them down because he himself is drowning.

When you are tired of his games and you realize he isn't who he said, he will try to hold you there, to make a deal with you. Do not take the deal. Run. You shouldn't have to convince anyone how good of a person you are. Don't stay to try to make him see how amazing you can be. You were always  amazing.
