To My Best Friend, Remember This When You Feel Alone

We might be miles apart but you’re still my best friend and one of the most important people in my life, so when you struggle, I can’t help but empathize with your life challenges as if they were mine. I want to protect you, be there for you and support you in any way I can. I never want to see you sad, so please know that not matter what it is you’re going through, I’m the person you can always rely on, even from far away, especially when you feel feel sad, lost, or alone.

You’re strong and independent and I know sometimes it’s hard for you to reach out and ask for help or for someone to just to talk or vent out with. Just know that you don’t always have to rely on your independence to resolve your struggles. I’d like to think that you know I’m always here for you unconditionally.

If you feel like drowning and can’t handle one more second being alone, remember that our friendship is always present in your heart and that whatever it is that’s overwhelming your soul, we can figure it out together. We always have and always will.

Because we’re best friends for a reason, our bond is strong because we’ve earned each other’s trust and respect. We have each other’s back and my job is to make sure that you never feel like life is turning its back on you. I’m here to remind you how amazing you are and resilient your heart is.

We’ve made it through endless ups and downs together, we’ve learned so much and grown so much.  Life wouldn’t be the same without all the amazing things that we’ve done together and still get to share together regardless of the distance. So, please remember that you’re more that the moments of loneliness that weigh heavy on your heart when life hits you hard.

You’re the best friend I always miss and can’t wait to catch up with. You’re the person I know I can tell anything to. You’re the person that makes life so much more fun and full.

You’re the best friend I’m lucky to have even if we don’t get to see each other as much as we used to. Distance doesn’t have power over our friendship. We’re bonded for life and no matter where you are, or what you’re going through I will always be there for you.
