It's Time to Say "Fuck it" to These 20 Things and Just Do You

You might feel a little tired and irritable. You feel “heavy" and that’s because you are holding onto things that are weighing you down. There are so many things you can let go of to make room for a happier you.

  1. The constant need for approval.  Not everyone is going to like you. Get over it.

  2. Excuses, excuses, excuses. Start taking action for the things you want. If you desire them you have what it takes to make shit happen. Go for it. 

  3. Kick jealousy in the butt. It doesn’t look good on anyone. And when you remember that everyone has some sort of struggle, you realize there is nothing to be jealous of.

  4. Trying to control everything. That just feeds your anxieties and can drive you insane. Go with the flow and see where it takes you. 

  5. Trying to please everyone. You simply can’t, so stop trying.

  6. Toxic people in general. Let go of all of them. The ones who disappear when times are tough, the one upper's, and the ones that come around when it is convenient….let them go.

  7. The idea of a perfect partner. It's just that, and idea. So learn to surrender to love as it comes. Appreciate the one you have and keep your heart open to receive the love that will eventually last forever.

  8. Grudges suck. Forgiveness is a beautiful thing. Holding onto grudges just holds you back from enjoying life.

  9. Your need to meet unrealistic expectations. Whether it’s from your boss, your parents, your partner, accept that what they are asking is 1. Unrealistic and 2. Never going to happen.

  10. Gossiping and spreading negativity. It’s just ugly. The more time you spend concentrating on the positive things, the more positive your life will become.

  11. Unnecessary small talk. Be real and be honest. No one cares about the weather. If you have to force small talk with someone, then there is no reason to be talking to them.

  12. Embrace your flaws and don't give insecurities that much weight. Everyone has them. Just keep reminding yourself how bad ass you are.

  13. Overindulging in food and alcohol. Your body and your bank account will thank you for it.

  14. A packed schedule. Take some time to be alone and enjoy it.

  15. Letting someone else define you. You know who you are more than anyone else in the world. It is up to you to define yourself and be who you want to be.

  16. The idea that you know everything. You don’t. And you should never stop learning.

  17. Putting others down who don’t share your beliefs. A healthy disagreement is not a bad thing. And different belief systems are definitely not bad….just different. Agree to disagree.

  18. Clutter is not sexy so make space in your life for what you truly need. Spending 15 minutes a day working on clutter can make a huge difference.

  19. Unhealthy relationships. Don’t let anyone control you, belittle you or hurt you. No matter whom they are, no matter how much you love them. Love yourself more.

  20. Self-criticism. You are doing the best you can. Believe it and let the negative thoughts go.
