I May Get A Lot of Things Wrong, but I Know By Your Side is Where I Belong

In the end it comes down to who you look for in a crowded room.”

For me that person is you.

It can be something as small as a room in a building, or a crowded outdoor concert and my eyes automatically scan the crowd for you. I don’t even know if you’ll be there, but I still look regardless.

What always amazes me is that it doesn’t matter how large the crowd is, I can always find you. You’re like the other half of my magnet which just another reason that solidifies why I know that by your side is where I belong.

I may not know everything, even though it sometimes seems like I try and act like I do.

I for one know I give terrible directions and my street smarts lack when put against my book smarts.

I may not know what tomorrow will  bring or even be able to answer some of the simplest questions, such as, what do you want to eat or what are you doing later tonight?

I can answer the more important questions though.

Who makes you smile the most?

Who causes your heart to flutter?

Who makes you laugh like crazy?

Who drives you absolutely crazy?

Who do you not want to picture living without?

All of those answers point to you.

I’ve never been more sure about anything other than that there was a reason you came stumbling into my life. I also know there’s a reason I can’t stay away from you.

Between your looks and your personality, I’m completely hooked. You’re the one who gets me the most and picks me up when I’m feeling down.

I may make some bad choices, like Taco Bell at 3 o’clock in the morning, dessert before dinner or the wrong playlist in the car.

However I know I made the right choice when I picked you.

You are the hand that I want to hold, the person I want to see when I’ve had a bad day, the lips I want to kiss every night before bed and the one who always is wandering around in my dreams.

Whether we’re out with friends, shopping, watching a movie on the couch or crawling into bed, I know that right beside you is where I belong.

And I challenge anyone to tell me that I’m wrong.
