“Oh screw beautiful, I’m brilliant! You wanna appease me, compliment my brain!” - Cristina Yang
The older I get, the more I realize beauty is fleeting. The more someone calls me beautiful, the more it no longer has meaning.
Because I’m more than just my beauty. I’m more than my selfies and the likes on it because I have beauty in me more than I have on me.
I have a brain, a colorful personality that goes above and beyond. I do strange things and think wild things. I have many thoughts and ideas about a lot of things.
It really depends on how unique I allow myself to be and if you can’t see that kind of beauty in me, then you don’t actually value me.
If you want to truly love me, don’t flatter my appearance, flatter my brain. Compliment my intelligence, tell me how funny I am, how thoughtful I am, how I bring you out of your own shell.
See the actual beauty in me because I’m not going to be physically beautiful forever, but my mind remains forever.
And that’s what really matters.
