I still remember the nervousness I felt walking into the building on my very first day of high school.
Of course, some other kids were coming there from middle school, but it was unlikely that we would be in a lot of the same classes.
Everything seemed so big and new, I wondered how the next four years of my life would be.
I never imagined looking back on those years that I'd ever be able to honestly say that they were the best years of my life, and it's all because I met you guys.
We started off so young, so naive, but we made the most out of all our experiences.
From the chaos we caused in the hallways, to the random outbursts of laughter in the middle of class.
From the passing of notes that we'd totally die if the teacher read, to the hiding of our phones to try to send that text. We knew each other's schedule like it was our own.
To the gossip sessions, the drama, and the fights... then finally feeling relieved when we came to our senses and made up.
From the heartbreaks caused by fuckboys who we thought we loved, the family problems we never thought we'd get through, to the happiness that we found within each other and the accomplishments that we made together.
Through our good times and our bad times, we always had each other.
You guys were my backbone, my support, my lifeline. If it weren't for you, I don't know how I ever would have made it through those crazy, confusing, lesson filled years.
Not only did we grow together, but we helped each other grow when we just felt like no one else could ever possibly understand what we were going through.
Of course at that age, we think our parents have no idea what it's like for us, so we shut them out and we turned to each other.
We couldn't wait to be grown up; to finally graduate. Now here we all years later, and I'd give anything to go back.
And just in case you're wondering, our journey may have ended, but you will always be a part of me.
