They get a lot of flak for being too blunt, but we should probably thank them for being straight-up from the get go. If you date them, especially, you might misunderstand that they aren’t being impolite with you.
It’s just their way to be totally up-front about anything…and everything.
1. There is no such thing as “too much” information for the TMI person, only squeamish people who are too easily put off by stuff that makes us human.
2. Even if it’s just first date small talk, they won’t hold back about anything and you will be entertained by it.
3. You’ll hear about how they couldn’t stop farting on the way to the date without batting an eye.
4. And in general, if they have a weird itch, a tummy issue, or just vomited the night before, you’ll probably hear about that too.
5. The benefit to this is that you can pretty much say anything to them, anytime.
6. And there is no question they’ll avoid answering.
7. If you like being with someone who is always honest, the TMI person is the best significant other you’ll ever have.
8. But be careful what you wish for when you give them a question like what took you so long in the bathroom or why are you going to the doctor again?
9. They will tell you.
10. No matter how grossed out the average person might be, they will tell you, because they want to be totally open with someone they’re dating.
11. They may try to be on their best behavior when they first meet you because they have certainly gotten complaints about their bluntness in the past.
12. But it’s just not in their nature to hide things, no matter what the topic and wherever a conversation leads.
13. Even stuff about their past adventures in the bedroom might spill out of their mouth.
14. They’re not trying to make you uncomfortable.
15. Although they do get a little excitement out of surprising you.
16. Basically, they’re opening up to you, breaking down boundaries by telling you all this stuff.
17. Odds are, if they’re saying something out loud, you were already thinking it in your head anyway.
18. Because they say things so unexpected and honest and true, no one will ever make you laugh and smile the way the TMI person does.
