Worry Ends When Faith Begins

“Surrender to what is, let go of what was & have faith in what will be.” – Sonia Ricotti

Faith isn’t measured by how often you go to church or the amount of Facebook posts you share concerning God. Faith is measured by still believing in the Lords work while everything in your life seems to be falling apart, seeing his light in even the darkest of times.

God never promised days without pain, he never promised sunshine with no rain, he never promised for every single one of your prayers to be answered. He never said if you put your faith in him he will make sure everything in your life happens the way you want it to, he never said if you put your faith in him that every single day would be filled with laughter.

The saying “God works in mysterious ways” has proven to be true, time and time again. Sometimes he brings people in your life or puts you in situations that really do make you question him. Why would God put someone in my life just to hurt me? To teach you, to strengthen you. Those people teach you who you don’t want in your life or who you don’t want to be. That pain strengthens you for the rest of your life, prepares you for what God has in store. When God doesn’t want someone in your life anymore and you try to fight that, he will make that person repeatedly hurt you until you get the hint.

For every unanswered prayer, there is one being answered. You ever heard the saying “You can’t have your cake and eat it too“? Let’s use that for an example. You cannot pray to God to keep a person in your life while also moving you forward & getting you to where you need to go. If God is taking a person out of your life, it’s for a reason, he has something or someone much better in store for you. You may not see it immediately, but in time you will so just keep that faith baby.

The best thing you can do in life is to let go and let God. Let him guide you, let him do his work for he has a plan for you. See the beauty in his work, see his light in your dark, feel his love in your pain. Remember that faith doesn’t always make things easy, but it makes them possible.
